EXPERIENCE

R&D Automotive Mechanical Engineer (Internship)

October 2018 – Present

Altran

Development of new technologies focused on automotive sector and the solution of new problemsin the futurein terms of transport and mobility. Design, integration and verification of structures andmechanisms that are considered the main basis of innovation and new technologies.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TRAINEE

July 2017 – October 2017

Instituto Astrofísico de Canarias

Cryogenic testing of technological prototypes, design and development of mechanisms for the HARMONI instrument, liquid nitrogen management, multidisciplinary team, electronic control, structured text, research, new technologies…

INTERSHIP STUDENT AT DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

May 2015 – June 2015

Instituto Astrofísico de Canarias

Design and assembly of a mechanism prototype for cryogenic and optical conditions, assembly of shutter mechanisms for optical devices, handling of liquid nitrogen and monitoring of design and manufacturing processes.

END-OF-DEGREE PROJECT

December 2014 – May 2015

Instituto Astrofísico de Canarias

‘Design and Assembly of a Rotating Pupil Mechanism Prototype for HARMONI’

This end-of-degree project aims to provide a new concept in the design of a rotating pupil mechanism for the HARMONI instrument, which is a high-resolution integral field spectrograph. The purpose of the mechanism is to mask the background radiation emitted by the structural arms that support the secondary mirror of the E-ELT telescope in which this instrument could be installed. Technology used in the design constitutes an important advance in obtaining slow and continuous movements, using for this purpose elements for which the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands has not yet experience in cryogenic environments.

EDUCATION

MASTER’S DEGREE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

2015 – 2017 Average Score 8,5

Universitat Politècnica de València

These studies focus on the use of advanced mechanical design technologies, with emphasis on computational techniques in mechanical engineering for component simulation, multibody dynamic systems and mechanical behavior of materials in service, including linear and nonlinear behavior.

Futhermore, techniques are selected for the selection of materials used in mechanical components, computer simulation of manufacturing processes, 3D modeling, numerical simulation, noise and vibration analysis, and experimental techniques and instrumentation for the field of mechanical components and systems.

BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

2011 – 2015 Average Score 8,19

Universidad de La Laguna

Mechanical Engineering integrates a series of knowledge that has been the basis of technological progress in the mechanical industry. The presence of mechanical engineers in industry has been a constant feature for progress in the knowledge of mechanical science and even for the application of new technologies to knowledge already acquired.

Throughout this bachelor’s degree a great diversity of subjects and technical knowledge has been imparted, with special emphasis in machine design, business organization, design of industrial constructions, energy systems, project management, thermodynamics … The different technical visions learned in the development of these studies offers a very comprehensive understanding of the industry, enabling the full development of activities such as design, improvement, production and maintenance of mechanical devices and systems, components, vehicles, engines and industrial installations.

GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

2009 – 2011

I.E.S. Rafael Arozarena

At this stage, introductory studies related specifically to generalist knowledge of industrial engineering were developed, combined with fundamental subjects such as advanced physics, chemistry or mathematics.

MUSICAL INTERPRETATION (SAXOPHONE)

1997 – 2011

Escuela de Música y Danza “Villa de La Orotava”

The studies carried out here focus mainly on learning and improving the musical abilities and performance of a musical instrument, which in this case is the saxophone, combined with fundamental themes such as classical and modern harmony, musical computation, The musical language, the piano and the choir. The whole of this knowledge allows a high command of the instrumental and musical technique, allowing in turn to listen, to compose and to interpret music with great critical and analytical capacity.
